MEET OUR TEAM

  • ANTHONY SUPER, Creative Director

Texas native Anthony Suber is a multimedia artist working and living in the South. As a painter, sculptor and educator, his work focuses on historical references, spirituality and the contemporary African American experience through the lens of personal experiences of religion and social relationships. Utilizing his love for the representation of the passage of time, Suber works primarily with emblematic connections, chronological references, and narrative “stills”. In doing so, Suber seeks to record and present a segment of the human experience that allows the viewer to participate in the compositional construct. Outside of his studio practice, Suber has served over a decade as a visual arts instructor, and mentor.

  • Rashad Sanders, Wellness

    Health and Wellness Ambassador

Rashad supports The Black Man Project's mission of creating accessible spaces for healing, mental wellness, and community connection.

We now have the photographs for both Rashad Sanders and Tay Butler, along with Tay's full biography.

The remaining step is to update the existing Squarespace team page, remove Marlon Hall, and publish the changes. The live website has not been modified yet.

  • Taye Butler, Community

Community Enrichment Director | The Black Man Project

Tay Butler is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Houston, Texas. He received his BFA in Photography and Digital Media from the University of Houston and his MFA in Photography from the University of Arkansas. After retiring from the U.S. Army and leaving a career in engineering, Tay rediscovered his passion for Black history, visual art, and the Black archive.

Working across collage, photography, drawing, video, sound, literature, performance, and large-scale installation, Tay uses historical imagery and narratives to create new understandings of the present while imagining a brighter future.
